Brad Pitt drops a cool $500,000 on designer furniture
The day before Angelina Jolie’s 33rd birthday, Brad Pitt was spotted spending around $500,000 at an art fair in Switzerland.
Brad was chauffeured to the Art Basel fair on Tuesday and spent nearly two hours examining the options before buying a $293,000 white marble table by Dutch designer Jeroen Verhoeven, two bronze $25,000 chairs by Max Lamb, another two Ron Arad chairs for an undisclosed price and a rug called Silver Sky made from aluminum thread, which sells for $175 a square foot.
The items are said to be for their new French home but a foam and fibreglass lamp, called the “Family Lamp” featuring a stylised parent and two child figures, is rumoured to have been a birthday gift for Angelina’s birthday yesterday.
Onlookers at the event said he could have easily walked away with more: “He’s really interested in architecture and design so was very much like a kid in a sweet shop. He could have easily walked away spending twice that amount.”
