New couple alert: Reese and Jake
Reese Witherspoon's rumored new guy is none other than Zodiac hottie Jake Gyllenhaal. After getting to know each other on the set of Rendition, the pair have recently taken their friendship to the next level. "In the last month, they've been spending a lot more time together," says a source close to Gyllenhaal. "Jake really likes her and isn't at all concerned that she has two kids." Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal were spotted looking cozy on March 23 at Hollywood's Il Sole restaurant. "They were cuddling," said a fellow diner. "It looked very playful." A week later, Witherspoon was seen picking up takeout at The Clay Pit while Gyllenhaal waited in the car. "When she came back out to the car, he got out and opened the door for her and was shielding his face so no one would see him," said an observer. The new couple are definitely taking things slow, according to a source close to Witherspoon. "[Reese] is still very, very hurt by Ryan and it will take a long time to get over that," says the source. "[But she and Jake] have a mutual interest. they are taking it slow and getting to know each other."
